Now that we can impersonate other members in PM what should we do?

I think we should only use it to gather information.

So far, no one has said anything of much interest via the PM system.

By the way, it would probably be a good idea to use this tool only when the user is offline.

The only way they would know anything is if you give them a reason to be suspicious, or if you are logged before they decide to go to this website, and they see you logged in. If they are already logged in, they can't know you are also logged in, because they will consider the fact that their name is listed as people logged in to be normal. That being said, any attempt to actually frame them should be done while they sleep, so that they don't sign on, and see that someone else is listed logged in on their name, based on the list of logged on people at the top of the forum.

If they use invisible mode, our job is much easier, because we can log in and they won't know while they are logged out. But if we switch them to invisible mode, they will find out as soon as they log in.

No. You have to log out of the user's account when you want to log back into your own account. This will boot the user out if he also is logged in.

IX, this is incorrect. Try it some time using two different computers and your own screename, unless the mod is does something wierd, there is no reason two different computers can't be logged on at the same time using different computers. AIM will boot you but vbulletin will not.

Incorrect. I booted Queequeg out when I logged into his account then logged out of it whilst he was online. He had to sign back in. Now I know not to log into people's accounts (and log out) when they are online.

Okay, I see what you are saying, on the logout it boots them, that makes more sense. But logging IN shouldn't boot them, unless this mod is very wierd.

If this doesn't happen too often, you will be okay, because connections get screwed up frequently, without anyone causing it. I wouldn't make too many mistakes as people may get suspicious, but I doubt he's suspecting anything at this point.

While I would avoid mistakes, this particular mistake, if it happens rarely, is not the end of the world.

Make sure you aren't logged on BEFORE they log on, because they will SEE YOU. So time the sleeping patterns. This is, unless they use invisible mode.

It could be that Queequeg coincidentally signed off at almost exactly the same moment that I signed out of his account, of course.
