View Full Version : Idiotic local news

I was watching the 5:30 news today, and I saw something that was real stupid. I searched the internut thoroughly for the story, but can't find it.

Anyway, what the deal is, is that in Fairfield Ohio, there is a suburban neighbourhood with a rental house. A neighbour adjacent to the rental property has repeatedly whined about a yard decoration at the rental propery, that he says is "racist". The yard decorations in question, are large stone ornaments which look like a mexican, and a donkey. Not a caricature, just a very normal looking sculpture. Infact, I'd wager that the landlord, who has owned the these lawn sculptures for fifteen(15) years, probably bought them in Mexico.

The neighbour has said that he whined to the landlord for nine(9) years to get him to remove that figures- to no avail. He says that he is embarrassed when his hispanic friends come to visit.

The whining neighbour then whined to local channel five news, who came out and saw that the figures had been moved into the back yard and covered with plastic. The news phoned the landlord, and the landlord said that he was getting ready to remove the yard ornaments(in gutless fashion, I would have told the whining neighbour to stick it up his ass).

Well, the whining neighbour is going to appear in front of the community council and seek a ban on "racially offensive lawn ornaments".

I'm going to do some more research, even if it involves calling the news station. I'm going to offer the landlord a deal, that I will take away the ornaments free of charge if he will give them to me :)

If I find out more, I'll keep everyone updated on this nosy, whining asshole and his crusade against ubiquitous "racism"

Just another one of the many reasons, you cannot give into these people. Give them what they want and they feel completely empowered and feel the need to run with it even more. If I was this guy, the only thing I would have done when the spic started whining was went out and bought more of these "offensive ornaments."

Haha, something like that happened to my neighbour a few years ago, but the lawn ornament in question was one of those charming and shoeless southern blacks ...

This goes to show how far (and absurd) political correctness can go. If they were unanimously racist then yes, they should go (in my opinion). But when one politically correct douche decides its offensive to hispanics whom visit him, then he's really stretching for something to complain about, particularly when these sorts of lawn ornaments can be found for sale all over Mexico, particularly areas with high percentages of tourists.

This guy just must be really bored or attempting to try and prove how "anti-racist" he really is.

I have a theory- that people like this want to be a rebel, but they want to rebel in safe ways- so they rebel against ghosts of the past, and with all the forces of political correctness behind them- somewhat like a child who dreams of being a brave warrior, so he goes out and smashes ants or shoots birds with his BB gun.

In fact, they aren't revolutionary, nor original; they are merely decompositional microbes feeding off of the rotting corpse of the 60ies.

I couldn't have said it better.
