Norse mythology became very trendy even among non-Germanic people.

I said Greco-Roman, it's really the only mythology I've really studied, but I've always considered it highly interesting and simply fun to read. I think my favorite myth would be that of Prometheus, and his creation of man and complete and utter defiance of the gods, particularly at the expense of Zeus.

Unsurprisingly I feel I can relate to Celtic mythology more so than any other, and that adds an extra part to the whole experience.

Surprisingly, so do I. But my favorite is Germanic (Norse). I am also reading about Hindu (Indian) myths and beliefs, which is also interesting.

both Greek and Norse are very interesting, the Greek is more philosophical and sophisticated, but I personally prefer the Norse and I like more the stories of the Norse, so I voted for Norse.

Greco-Roman seems to have had a greater impact on Western
Culture, but I like the mythology and heroic epics of Finland.
I also admire Lovecraftian mythology as modified by
August Derleth.

OK. Then Greco-Roman.

I voted for Norse. Too bad most people who claim to like it, are beneath contempt IMO. Both the Sagas and Eddas are so much more than what most nordicist trash can even begin to comprehend. Next, I would have voted for the Greek/Roman mythologies. All three are interrelated on almost every level.

Ganesha only has the head of an elephant, he was a man. So Thor would ride a fat man?

Yes, he would.

Vishnu is one of the trinity gods (preserver) and thus, he's on a higher level than Ganesha. Though, I like Ganesha (demi-god) as well. He's the remover of obstacles and apparently helps one complete their tasks.

Thor is the God of Thunder, I believe. We have the equivalent and he is Indra and he is one of the demi-gods and not on the same level as Vishnu! :whip:

Thos was the son of Odin, and was responsible for a buttload of things. He was the god of mankind ffs. He'd kick major ass in your pantheon with his mighty hammer.

Celtic: because in some sense it seems more real to me, or something to that effect. Its archetypes probably make more sense to me.

My favorite mythology is Kim Jong Il mythology, which is Asian. They believe when he throws pinecones they turn into grenades, and he walks across water on leaves.

It's somewhere in this documentary http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3787046457101273554&q=north+korea&hl=en
