I recall a few years ago there was a website that had all the documents during the cold war ear of america's studies on ESP. both America and the USSR funded studies on ESP and while both found evidence of ESP neither could find a practical method of application and eventually abandoned their studies. From what I understand the documents from the research are now open to the general public. It was years ago granted and I never though to save the articles. If any of you are familiar with this any help would be thanked.

What is ESP?
Extra-sensory perception; e.g. remote viewing, telepathy, etc. During the Cold War, the US military actually tried to use it to spy on the Soviets.

Extra-sensory perception. The "sixth" sense which is used to describe the intuitive sense that goes beyond the five senses of smell, taste, sight, feel, and hear.
Here's a link to a brief overview:

David Morehouse is the most publicly recongized former participent in the CIA intelligence program called "Stargate".
He wrote a book of his experiences and there was quite a furor about him declassifying this project without permission or some such thing. He was directly involved with the project from 1987 to 1991.
From what I understand, the project was basically abandoned because the psychic viewings could not be controlled. In short, if the desired location was the whereabouts of Sadam Hussein, there did not seem to be any way to assure that the viewer would go there, instead of all over the universe. There was also a major stress factor involved with viewing on demand to specific locations.
More detailed information can be found at this link:

It is to be noted that Morehouse is a distinguished scholar among other things (PhD, Special Forces, ISA, retired Major, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, etc.). The Psychic Warrior is one of the books he has written concerning the matter.
As far as actual declassified government documents, I would have to dig.In the meantime, it is well worth the read "About the Author", "What is Remote Viewing?", and the other information provided.

My pleasure, Sigurd.
When I get a little time on my hands, I will see what I can dig up on declassified government documents.
Last I heard, which has been awhile, the Soviets continued their remote viewing program. I'll see if I can find any relevant information on this also.

Well, did some digging around. From what I am understanding is that even though many documents have been declassified, only certain ones have been published either on-line or in pamphlet form for public viewing. These publications really do not say much. Some subjects have more or less pages on them depending on political ramifications in the present.
To obtain any copies of documents concerning more specific information concerning a subject or subjects, one has to fill out a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request and submit it to the government, with your name, address, phone number, and the reasons you are requesting copies of documents about the chosen subject.
Needless to say, the government will then find out who you are and for what purpose you are seeking copies of the documents.
And even then, who can be sure that the documents have not been altered in some way?
I also noticed that there are some websites no longer available concerning this topic. Use of remote viewing as a means of intellignece surveilance.)
I'll keep looking though. One thing I have found to be true. If one has patience and keeps looking, sooner or later some tangible evidence is happened upon.
Is that a proverb?
