I met 'Dido', a.k.a 'Florian', back in the late '80's, and to cut a long story short, she showed me the lyrics to a certain song, as well as showing me a picture of a man in nazi uniform. She told me I was from this guy, and the exact words she used when describing him were "He was a very strong man". Years later, i recognized this photo on a WWII site, some of you might know who I'm referring to.
Now get this (if you knew me back from my drug-addled days):
Number the alphabet and decode Die, Der, und Das.
What you'll come up with is 18 (die), 27 (der), und 24 (das).
What I'm going to look up is when these words were first codified an put into German. I think I know who I am now, thankfully. Answer me this-Who else knows of the connection between 'Florian', und 'Hyacinth'?
I have some work to do.
