PRINGLE have pulled the plug on Declaration of Arbroath T-shirts for fear they could be seen as "anti-English".
Pringle were set to launch T-shirts bearing the historic quote: "As long as 100 of us remain alive, we will never on any conditions be brought under English rule."
But yesterday, the SNP slated the famous Scottish knitwear firm for being "woolly-minded".
And an SNP spokesman said: "This is clearly a case of woolly-minded, politically correct thinking gone mad"
