Not at all, I think he is white, just very mediterranean looking. I am just wondering where the mediterranean impact comes from. Austria shares a border with Italy, too, this could have played a part in it.

Yngwie Malmsteen(Sweden) and Steve Vai(Italian American) look pretty similar with regard to features. An odd example perhaps, but I play guitar:viking:
