Germans moving to Norway
The number of Germans settling in Norway has increased by 24 percent in the past five years.
There are now nearly 9,000 Germans employed in Norway. High unemployment in Germany and attractive working conditions here are convincing reasons to come and stay, NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting) reports.

German manpower is also popular in Norway. Unemployment here is at a record low 2.8 percent and employment agency Manpower is consciously recruiting Germans.

"Professionally they are quite similar to those in Norway and they can just start to work - they know their job," said Geir Henrik Johansen, personnel consultant at Manpower's construction division.

Newly qualified physician Markus Weidmann, now working at the neurological ward at Akershus University Hospital, chose to stay in Norway after a work experience stint. He said that 50 percent of new German doctors change professions.

"The salary is relatively poor and the pressure of work is high," Weidmann said.

Hopefully they will be able to displace and/or eliminate the Pakistanis in Norway.

Thanks Cow.

Personally I would hope the Germans would stay in their own homeland and try to fight the growing problems in their own countries but if their has to be a migration to Norway I'll take Germans over pakis any day (althought more than likely when they say "Germans" they mean "German born".)

I doubt that turkish 'Germans' would leave Germany for Norway Sigurd. These people who move to Norway are likely the real deal.

Hello!...Its 9000...what sort of wishful thinking is this? 9000 is nothing. And I would not be surprised if what Sigurd says hits also the mark.
