We all know these threads. Every one claims to have the IQ of your average doctor, and I'm no exception. In my self testing in a book I had, comprising eight tests, I got between 160, and 117, averaging maybe in the 130's. The three onling tests I've done gave me 140, 134, and 124.

What have you gotten on average? I'm sure over half the board has a higher average than myself.

Let's say there's 7 billion people on earth, for a nice round number. That would mean that there's 112 million people with such a high IQ. And, undoubtedly, most of them live in first-world nations and have internet connections.
If we didn't have a couple geniuses on this forum, I'd feel let down.

According to online tests, I'm somewhere between 150 and 170. I don't feel like averaging those scores, because I've always had trouble understanding how to average. :p
(Online tests are unreliable, and IQ scores are useful only to brag unless used in statistics to see what other traits correlate with IQ).

I've had scores of 184 and 182 from some tests, and some of 120s, 130s and 140s...

It all depends on how you do at that time on that particular version of an IQ test...

The others have been close to or far from on Online tests...

I think I had a bout of insanity on the days I took those tests...

More recent ones of less than 2 months ago, were 176, 176 and 174...

I'd take that as a more accurate measure of my true IQ, not that your IQ really means shit these days anyway...

"Geniuses" are walking out of Universities with Degrees in "Knitting" or "Baby Names" - What a waste of a time, effort and money...

I've taken 1 real IQ test and I scored around 128...I've always considered myself about average to slightly above in respects to IQ; I'm naturally skeptical of these types of tests but nonetheless I felt this was a pretty accurate assessment.

I've got 134 on a real IQ test I did in school. I score between 124 and 156 on internet IQ tests.

There is a funny similarity between attitudes towards penis-size and IQ. Although they don't mean much, people tend to think higher or lower of themselves when they compare their numbers with others, which is senseless. Matter of pride.

Same here. The last IQ test I took online promised to be the most accurate test on the web and was supposed to be no more than 5 points off from your true IQ. I scored 165 so I became very skeptical of the accuracy of online tests. But then again, maybe I really am a super-genuis. :D

Poor you. With my full on narco-plagiarist campaign to reach the big C, I'm almost on a different intellectual plane. It must be difficult for you to perceive us two-digit wonders.

When eventually, I reach the big one-owe-owe, no doubt I shall have the testicular fortitude to take one of those online IQ tests, and then I shall proclaim my brilliance right here on this thread, stating the figure with pride. Perhaps Tickle.com will bestow upon me an intellectual class I can wear: maybe I will be a Word Warrior, or a Strategic Military Thinker.

Notice how I didn't put the numbers I scored over the gaes on this thread. I'll only say that I'm 26, have taken several tests IRL since I was 6 or so, and in that timespan, the highest and lowest scores were no more than about 15 points apart.

Einstein, even if he had the misfortune of being jewish, was only roughly 160, apparently-probably about the average of this phorum. Methinks Mary Anne O'Sullivan is only roughly 200 or so, possibly the brioghtest person on earth, and only somewhat bright compared to this place.

That's what I have heard as well. Either way, he was still an incredible physicist and one of the smartest men to have ever lived. I am very interested in astrophysics and cosmology so I am of course a huge fan of his. His main focus was physics, not politics, so the fact that he was Jewish doesn't really affect my opinion of him.

The majority of online IQ tests are a joke. The tests and the blatantly inflated results they tend to spit out (followed closely by email encouragement to purchase a 'full IQ breakdown') have no academic or psychological credibility whatsoever.

She was ruined after the split. After having an emotional break-down, living in poverty and struggling to support herself and her two sons, one of which suffered from acute schizophrenia, while at the same time taking care of psychotic sister is not much of a background for scientific work.
