Sorry about this, but I am requesting that there be an Italian section on here since Iberia is not Italia. There may not be any Italians here yet really, but I can certainly find some Italian articles in the meantime since I kinda understand them sometimes. Italy is not Spain or Portugal and it is a shame that one of the most influential European nations in the world is not represented here. Or, it might be easier this way. Create a Mediterranean section which does not include North Africa, Middle East, or PISSraeLIE. That way you can include a number of European nations along the sealine.

I don't think we have enough Italians to justify this

Though, I agree it's pretty strange to have a forum for Montenegro but none for Italy

Activity...certain subforums have more activity than others. Maybe a west south europe subforum would be better.

Like I was saying, I can post Italian articles since I understand what they are about time to time. We need lure some Italians in so The Phora Italia can grow. I know of two already that might be interested, but I will not mention it until the section is created. It is a shame that there is a Croatian section, when part of their nation belongs to Italy rightfully.

Yeah rigth, if anything Italia has to return a piece of land that rightfully belongs to Slovenia. Istra, Rijeka and Dalmacija is Croatian land and it will stay like that.:)

What about regions instead of forums for individual countries? Such as Western Europe (Spain, France, Italy, etc.), Northern Europe (Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Flanders, etc.), British Isles (self explanatory), Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, etc.), and the Balkans (FMYRs, Albania, Romania, Greece, and Bulgaria).

If a particular region had significant activity then one can always create a sub-forum within the proper forum (Croatia, UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands are the only sections that warrent such treatment as of now).

Right now, we have ten forums dedicated to Europe—my idea only requires 5.

I would support this idea.

Not geographic regions, but language families. Italic (Romance), Germanic, Slavic, Finno-Ugric... etc. I think that makes more sense than having it based on geography.

If you look at my divisions more carefully you will see that they are also along linguistic lines (with the exception of the Balkans—not to mention the necessary inclusion of Hungarians, Finns, and Balts but those hardly merit their own forum).

True, it is kind of a regional thing, however I jus think it makes more sense to treat them as language groups, since they are foreign language sections - some of the languages have uncanny similarities anyway (some times totally intelligible). If however, they aren't meant as foreign language sections (i.e., english is used there anyhow), then perhaps geography is a better way to go.

This is actually a good idea. Although, I was actually going to start a thread about a Caucuses subforum, but this will do :)

Also I don't like the fact that it is ambiguous in terms of if it is a language section or national/regional news area. In so far as the German section, there is little activity or news posted, most German news gets posted in the main area of the forum and in English - suggesting English articles don't belong in the German section and that it is a linguistic barrier. However, then why have regional areas for English which is already covered and can be discussed in other sections of the board? Is the main part only reserved for America, and the UK/Aussie/Canadian stuff sent to sub forums and stored out of the way?

It should be universal, linguistic or regional. That is, you should post a topic pertaining to a region/nation in whatever language (e.g., German news in English goes in the German section), or it is linguistic, in which case I see the need for areas of English to be redundant.

Yeah, and Slovenia also claims they own part of Austria which is flatout false. Jörg Haider has a good stance on the issue of Slovenians living in Austria which is telling them to get the hell out. I am not really keen on his liberal policy in regards to Turkey joining the EU, but overall he is a pretty good politician. Also, Mdmv you have the nerve to say those lands belong to Horvatia and Slovenia because the Italians in those areas were subjected to mass slaughter ...

We rightfully claim those lands, those lands always were Slovenian, Austria owns them just because they cowardly stole them from us with help of Serbian SHS goverment, after we destroyed them completly on the battlefield.

Also, Mdmv you have the nerve to say those lands belong to Horvatia and Slovenia because the Italians in those areas were subjected to mass slaughter

Who cares? They slaughtered hundreds of tausands Slovenians and Croats and they thought they will get away with it. Communist Yugoslavia was even too mild with Italians, Tito gave them Trst and huge part of Slovenian Primorska, including Gorica, which was very important for Slovenian history.

Also, many "Italians" that were slaughtered were in fact Slovenians who opposed communist revolution and had Italians passport because they were living in region that was occupied before WWII.

Italians simply don't deserve this country because they never managed to defeat Slovenians or Croats on battlefield.

Maybe you can start posting in the Iberia section. If Iberia is overwhelmed by italian threads they will beg you to have your own italian subforum. :)

I support the creation of an Italian subforum. Hey, they invented Fascism didn't they? Surely that deserves a forum. Plus people can discuss Evola there (biographical aspects, not his themes).

Cernobog, skalle, Zvoncica, Zvek_zivi_Cetinjanin, Nikollaki, AsikAisa, Girl_from_Tomici, Edzamon are Montenegrens, so Montenegro section is biger than for example Serbian or Russian section nowdays. It is funny  , but it is cool.

The Phora Italy has my full support!:) Ti salluti don Corleone!:D

I oppose The Phora Italia.

I oppose Italian existence in the first place, it should be annexed and divided between Slovenia and Croatia, the righteous and historical owners of Apennine peninsula.
