here is a pic of me. no one in the band wanted their picture on the internet except arell so one night we played out at a bar and afterwards arell took a pic of me and put it on the internet. he emailed me the link and i said well o.k i guess my pic is on the internet now as long as no one uses paintshop pro to distort my looks. then arell used the fact that my pic was on the internet to talk the other guitar player into letting his pic be put on the internet too.
i didn't write that stuff underneath my pic. arell wrote it. he said he was describing how i acted that night we played out at that bar.

What the hell happened to you?

My nose bleeds when I am in emotional distress. I think it has to do with rising blood pressure. Most of the key moments in my life have been marked by blood loss- the first time I confessed my love to a woman, my nose bled, for instance. It's remarkably humbling. At any rate, it's probably largely genetic, since the same thing happens to my grandfather.

This particular bleed was simply the result of scratching an itch. Bad idea, apparently.

Due to the relative frequency of my nose bleeds (when I was going through my existential crisis last year I would bleed 2-3 times a day for 10-20 minute periods) I used to keep a jar full of my nose-blood to impress guests. It started to coagulate at some point, so I got rid of it. Plus I think it rendered me "creepy" in the minds of most people. I always thought of it as a kind of "flask of rememberence" or something. Sigghhh.
