Police are hunting "devil worshippers" after a series of sickening "satanic rite" attacks on sheep at a national park.

Around 100 animals have been found slaughtered and mutilated with their tongues, eyes and sexual organs removed on Dartmoor in Devon in the past year.

All of the bodies had been arranged in a satanic star shape on the floor or laid out in a circle with their necks broken.

Most of the blood-thirsty rituals have been carried out during a full moon.

In the latest attack farmer Charles Mudge, of Tavistock, Devon, found 30 of his flock dead with bizarre half-moon symbols carved into their flesh. He discovered all their bodies lying near a bloodstained stone altar and wooden stake.

"We are absolutely devastated. It is disgusting," he said. "We don't know how they're doing it. But they must be people with dogs and have got to be used to handling sheep."

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said the majority of incidents have taken place during a full moon.

She added: "The killings are becoming increasingly vicious. We currently have no suspects."

It could either be satanists or a group of pranksters trying to scare the hell out of the locals. I thought that such rituals were carried out in secret. Satanists in real life appear to be more reserved and to keep to themselves mostly. The fact they left the bodies on the farms where they can be found easily, seems fishy to me. However, it's still possible that due to convenience, they perform their rituals on the farms.

Satanist, Aliens, the Chupacabra... these farmers can sure spins some tales. I'd be more concerned over how people can get on the farmer's property, kill 30, carve some symbols in them and then build a bloodstone alter... all without being detected by anyone.

Since I belong to a tradition which has the Blót as a part of a core practice, I don't see the distaste for animal sacrifice. It should be your animal though, not someone else's herd.

Every year tens of millions of animals are slaughtered so people can feel good eating there carcasses don't see anyone bitching then.lol

Animals are sacred to Satan, true Satanist do not need to kill animals for extra power as we have our personal power and trantric rites are much more effective for generation of any extra power. Christians seem more apt to burning thousands of people to death for jehova, then meager animal ritual killing.
