What on earth does this have to do with Nebraska?

The states of Michigan and Nebraska proclaimed October 5th as Raoul Wallenberg Day, following a campaign launched by the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation. This date is commemorated every year in the State of New York and was observed in Minnesota and Philadelphia in previous years.

On October 5th 1981, Raoul Wallenberg became the second person in history to be awarded Honorary U.S. Citizenship.

Wallenberg is the Swedish diplomat who saved tens of thousands of Jews in Hungary during WWII. In 1945 he was taken by the Soviet army, never to be seen again.

I've heard suggestions that Wallenberg was Jewish - is there any truth to this?

At least it is a day in honor of a white European Christian, it could be worse... I hear California now has a state holiday for Ceasar Chavez, and then there's the third Monday in January, the federal holiday for "Dr King". Columbus day will no doubt be replaced by "Native Americans day" or something before long, and Lincoln's birthday and Washington's birthday have already been eliminated as paid holidays

Yeah, well, it is just another one of the countless ways to actually honor the chosen and pay more respects to the holy holocaust, which is no better than anything else you mention.

Quiet correct Starr, I also do not see any difference in honoring some negro with this, oh so Christian, friend of the Jews who is there just because of that and its relations to the Holy Holoco$t.
