On the radio here (govnt sponsored!) they're interviewing this nitwit popsinger. They ask her 'Are you seeing someone?', the little airhead says yes, so the interviewer asks here as if it were the most normal thing to ask 'a boy or a girl?'.

I can't even imagine what it would be like if the US had government-owned stations, with Carl Rove himself controlling what is broadcast! ... then again it couldn't be worse than Clear Channel.

(Note: I dont dislike Clear Channel corporation for their political views but because they are a corporate monster taking over radio markets, and as such they make radio stations "corporate". Result is: bad, bad, bad.)

It's called PBS and NPR, and it gets most of its funding from the government, which is absurd when you consider how many millions of dollars Sesame Street merchandise makes every year.

A new administrator was appointed a year ago, he tried to add a little bit more conservative programming, and lost his job after all the howling from democrats in congress.
