Some of the questions in this test are biased, but it generally comes out well.

How do you spot these ones?
Starr
11-29-2005, 07:45 PM
What do Satan's angels look like? Or is that something that only God's angels(albinos) can spot also?
I'm going to post what I answered and why...
Race can be traced through bloodlines and divides the human species.
Yes. The human species is composed of various races.
I agree, medium.
Race is exclusive and biological but has no moral component.
Yes. Race is measured in biological terms...I don't understand the "moral" component referenced, but I'd agree that biology and morality aren't connected in this context...
I agree, medium.
Race is biologically fixed but may change over time.
I agree, medium.
Your race should determine how society views your potential
I disagree, high.
Your race should not be considered at any time.
...Why? What about in medical treatment? Various racial groups require different medical attention. Sickle cell in Negroids being the most blatant racial-group medical condition.
I disagree, high.
Race is socially determined, not genetically.
Having already defined race as biological in the previous question, I'm going to have to say it's genetic...
I disagree, medium.
Racial profiling is rational.
Racial groups do tend to have certain social correlations, although I believe the correlation is 90% social and 10% biological (racial). I don't agree with stopping a car merely because the driver is a certain race.
I agree, medium.
It is wrong to recognize or identify someone's 'race'.
...Uh, why would it be wrong?
I disagree, high.
It is not my responsibility to concern myself with the problems of other races.
No, it is my concern. We're all in this together, no sense in ignoring the world around you.
I disagree, high.
Races are naturally antagonistic.
I would say that races are naturally antagonistic in that taken as a whole, they are inseparate from different cultures, and different cultures always have antagonism. That's not to say one can't assimilate into a different culture and lose this antagonism, however.
I agree, medium.
There is nothing special about racial discrimination - if it wasn't race it would be something equally stupid.
I agree, medium.
Institutional racism and individual prejudice are morally equivalent.
I'd say theres a difference between institutional racism, in that it tends to be the result of a system failure and could occur without anyone actually being racist. I'd say individual prejudice is more applicable to morality, but it's a tricky question.
I disagree, medium.
It is a citizens duty to fight racism at all levels of society.
No. Racism often subordinates more important political battles. Racism should be a secondary issue. Too often people get caught up in fighting racism when its either a red herring or not an immediate threat to our goals. I say let people have whatever opinions they want, as long as it doesn't get in the way of our direct aims.
I disagree, medium.
Mentioning race just reinforces racism.
Not at all. How can we confront racism honestly without mentioning race?
I disgaree, high.
One must be very specific about racial terminology.
I agree, high.
Racial minorities are just fine in America.
No! Certain issues are not being addressed, and when they are its not being done in an effective and conclusive manner!
I disagree, medium.
If I could change my race, I would.
What the...?
I disagree, high.
Interracial marriages are morally superior to same-race marriages.
I don't see how...
I disagree, medium.
Racial hate crimes should be punished more forcefully than those that don't involve race.
No...the results of all crimes are the same regardless of whether someone is one race or another.
I disagree, medium.
I'm proud of my racial identity.
Sure. Why not?
I agree, medium.
The average person knows enough to correctly identify race.
I don't know..but it depends on which races you were referring to.
Not sure, medium.
Every race has its own special message to the world.
What the...?
Not sure, medium.
No racial identity is neutral.
How can someone be "racially neutral?" I agree that racial mixing makes many ineligible for most categories, but that doesn't make them neutral, it makes them mixed.
I agree, medium.
You can and should be a credit to your race.
That's a loaded question; who wants to be a "discredit" to their race or any race for that matter?
I agree, high.

[QUOTE=daisy]i am half human half angel. i have direct contact with God.
what types of things does God reveal to you, and how are these things revealed? What method of communication is used?
i see many things that others do not see.
If this is true, tell me what you see in regards to how I am thinking about what you are saying.
it is funny God did make most of us with bigger than normal eyes too.
I have very big/round eyes. is it possible that I am one of you without knowing it somehow?
there are some of us with very little pigmentations that look just like white aliens from mars. i've seen them. they don't let humans see them.
I have heard of people seeing similar things,....... and I am sure it didn't have anything to do with the LSD they were taking at the time.:222:

The questions mostly were, I thought, very ambigious; couldn't tell whether they were referring to race as a social concept or a biological one.

I got "racialist" when I took the quiz this afternoon and I don't consider myself at all racist.
I'm wondering if you say that you merely think race exists, whatever else you say, they kick you into that category at a minimum.

"Racialist" means you view that race should be considered in social conditions, basically. I think the quiz was a bit slanted, which is why I posted what I voted for instead of my result, which can be a bit misleading by itself.

I actually agree with this part of the sentence. As I too think of myself as a tolerant person in general, but in every freaking test I score those extreme results.
Actually, I thing I'm far more opposed to the aggresive anti-racist ideology than I could ever be opposed to racism.

PCP, most likely. I think poor daisy is suffering from Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (http://hppdonline.com/index.php), or perhaps some sort of chronic PCP-induced toxic psychosis.

Interesting link. I've experienced some of those symptoms, namely static vision, but I've had that since before I ever took any LSD.
I haven't done any LSD in nearly two decades, but for around ten(10) years after I quit I could look at things and see a slight waving motion. That doesn't happen anymore, though.
I think alot of those symptoms are induced by stress.

Sporadic visual distortions, such as tracers are not uncommon. It is also not uncommon to see simple closed-eye-visuals with a large amount of concentration, even without having ingested any psychedelics.

You may have been suffering from HPPD, as it does tend to either abate or disappear after a while. I doubt we'll ever know, however.
I think alot of those symptoms are induced by stress.
It's possible; however, as daisy appears to suffer from depersonalization, dellusions and a throughly disordered thought-process, whereas HPPD is an exclusively visual disorder, I think that she's suffering from some sort of dellusional psychosis, possibly triggered by the PCP-laced cigarette she admitted to smoking :p
