Danish police arrest hundreds
Police in Denmark have arrested some 300 demonstrators in the capital, after a protest against the closure of a youth centre turned violent.
About 1,000 protesters in Copenhagen threw cobblestones, bottles and fireworks and erected barricades.

Police used teargas to try to break up the protests, comparing the scene on the streets to that of a "war zone".

The protesters are angry about orders for young squatters to leave a building occupied since 1982.

Local government sold the centre in 2000 and tension has been building since the sale.

"It was extremely violent," police spokesman Flemming Steen Munch said.

"It's been many years since we last had to use tear gas on the streets."

On Thursday, the group had held a peaceful demonstration to try to convince the city council to stop the eviction of the building's occupants.

Left-wing activists have been using the centre as a base for more than two decades.

Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten reported that one demonstrator was unconscious and that two police officers had been taken to hospital.

The big fight is for public opinion, and as this thing turned out people ended up beeing mad at the multi-kulti anti-racists communist rioters. People also notice how their cultural elite defends the rioters and starts to question their authority.

I agree. The best thing is if protestors target the private property of individuals in the area during a spree of mindless mayhem and destruction. Nothing turns a fence-sitter into a reactionary fascist-type faster than having their car smashed up by some young anarchist punks (people don't care so much if they are just fighting the police).

I have been to the 1 may left wing riots in Berlin, and it is exhilarating, exiting and just good old fun. As long as the police uses gloves, the pure adrenaline thrill will ensure a craving for it to happen again, and that unpolitical violent thugs will continue to join for the rush and the chance to fight the police.

These idiots are the most anti-nationalistic groups, and each time this happens, the 'radicals' get even more despiced by the public, and their elite defenders will also get dirty.
The bad publicity also falls on immigrants as they too joined the roits.

Anarchists almost made our city into an annual riot festival. After a few years they died out however. It basicly became an excuse for the "oppressed" to rob stores.
