What is your dream job? What aspirations do you have, realistic or unrealistic?

For me it would be to sing baritone in opera. Famously.

I would probably like to do more than one thing. It would be nice, though, if for the next few years I could take a break from working in the lab, and write and record music instead. :nopity:

a psychiatrist(dealing with people who are severely disturbed) or a homicide investigator. An investigator of the paranormal would be pretty interesting also.

If it were financially feasible, I would very much enjoy taking classes in different subjects and doing research in these subjects. This is not very much of a job, per se.

A tenured professor of philosophy at Harvard. The metaphorical blood-bath would be a sight to see.

My dream job would be novelist, but that's a dream I gave up a while back. Other interesting ones are documentary maker, rock star, and CEO of some pointless but exceedingly rich company. Realistically I am on the path to the dream job I have the most chance of actually landing myself in i.e. college professor.

Yes, I was waiting for someone to ask me after I said that I already possess my dream job, "well, what do you do?". To which I would respond, "I am unemployed."

If someone asked me "what do you do for a living?" I would only reply "I'm unemployed" if I were chomping a cuban cigar while sipping some congac on my private yacht with my elite and wealthy companions.

I'd like to write in some capacity. Novel-writing is woefully beyond me, but I'd love to scriptwrite for video games, comic books, TV shows, etc. I'd love to be a lyricist. Barring all that, I'd be a happy critic of games/music/movies.

I'd take a paycut to work in those capacities. Waking up in the morning to get paid for a job you do for fun anyway must be a fine feeling.

Do you mean by private contract? I read the banned book "Hitman" (published by Paladin Press) and became enthused with that idea. I don't think I'd have the patience though.

I like being meticulous, even if it bugs me sometimes.

Still, the pay would be good enough for me to accept sharpening my nerves a few times :p

(a book you should try to find -even if it's hard- is "Murder Inc", a terrific book on 'hitmanery' :D)
