That film actually made me turn off my computer so I could read the subtitles. I mark of a truely excellent film if ever there was.

Yeah, my favorite was the little kids in the Hitler youth still believing in ultimate victory...

Goebbels was played very well. So was Hitler, but he's gotten plenty of credit. The actor who played Goebbels did it perfectly.

True, except for one thing: he was too tall.

And his face looked a little too...dark I guess. But his voice sounded eerily like Göbbels.

I refuse to watch any shows about the third reich after 1941. In my mind, world war 2 is an exciting time of whirl-wind German Blitzkrieg victories, and peasants fleeing their villages on bicycles, carrying large black suitcases, while the luftwaffe lays down strafing fire from above for a bit of fun.

I would never watch a movie about Hitler's last days in his bunker. There's enough for me to be depressed about already without that.

Good movie. I have DVD. Probably the best film about German fall in WW2.

Really? I thought he looked exactly as swarthy as he should.

Hitler makes a good quote in the film which Biggles has in his sig.

The western democracies are decadent. They will succumb to the people from the East.

That's the one.

Who played the true leader, Martin Bormann? Was he in this film?

Some decent movie there but also quite some klichees I did not like that much like the Hitlerjugend bit with the 88, or the drunken Orgy by the watch battalion ten feet from the Führer. The extra brutal version of the poisoning of the kids was also tasteless.

I thought the kid shooting the girl was probably pretty realistic.

I thought both of these things were pretty faithful recreations of the timeline given by the people in the Bunker.

I have it on DVD and as far as I am concerned it didn`t live up to all the media hype.
I thought that Hitler was poorly acted and the whole film a shadow and a plagiarism of the 1970s `Hitler`s Last Days` with Alec Guiness in the lead role. Now that is a film worth buying. I would give this one a miss.

He didn't look enough like Hitler I would say.

or the drunken Orgy by the watch battalion ten feet from the Führer.

Are there sources for or against.

That kind of thing becomes a lot more plausible in a Ragnorok type scenario that anyone trapped in Berlin was in...
