This thread is for free associating. Let your mind wander and see what connections you can make. Try not to think too hard or read too much into it. Don't get overly analytical and worry about whether the associations are etymologically meaningful, or try and rationalise everything. Maybe we come up with words because of some kind of deeper (possibly hard-coded) associations? Perhaps signs & symbols are filtered through the hive mind before gaining popularity, and only the meaningful ones stick? Resist the impulse to dismiss any connections you see as a coincidence, and see what comes out.

Associations can be along any axis: verbal, graphemic, visual, thematic, rhythmic, lyrical, pop culture references, anything goes. It is the Ziggurat, so make it at least tangentially connected to some Ziggurat-ish topic, but don't box yourself in. Let go!
