Nationalist from various boards I have came across seem to be pro-Croatian.

Bulgarians were the only South Slavic people left out of first and second Yugoslav associations, because Serbs recognized a dangerous rival in Bulgaria. Bulgarians within ex-Yugoslavia would have represented an obstacle to a blatantly pro-Serb and anti-everyone-else dictatorship.

LOL perhaps Yugoslavia could have been a success story if the Bulgars were included.

Unlikely, but I seriously doubt we would have had the same treatment under Sofia like we had under Belgrade. Bulgarian mentality is not so similar to Serbian.

Even if Bulgarians would have presented some sort of Serb-like expansionism, it would have effected Serbs more than us. Much like Slovenians never perished (and even prospered) in former Yugo-states, due to their distant geographic location from Belgrade.

I don't think Bulgarians are "pro" anyone but themselves, although to be fair, they have more historical squabbles with the Serbs over the Macedonia question than they do with the Croats, despite the Serbs being their brethren in religious affiliation.
