There was no question up for debate in the thread it was just a link to a website. While I understand you are restricted to OI for past actions and could not post it in the right section of the forum, coming back after almost two years to promote a website that in the past has been seen in a right wing/fascist light seems a little off. Um... I was hoping to bring a wider variety of leftists to the forum to debate with the right-wingers, which is exactly what I said in that thread. Why would that "seem a little off?"

Maybe it's incidents like this that discouraged me from posting here in the first place? I mean, since I'm restricted, I can't reply to any of the threads with actual substance in the Theory or other forums, and when I invite people to come debate on another forum it results in this...

I tried to advertise for the Phora while I was at Che-lives before I got banned and it was trashed as well. I did however mention the phora numerous times at RebelForums (although the pool of intelligent Marxists there is even shallower than Che-lives) but it would be interesting to see the likes of Gent and a couple of the others come here for discussion/debate.

Che-lives (unsurprisingly) hosts more threads that could be seen as an embarassment to socialism than actual constructive discussion; most members' posts are that of 'lounge' quality at best.

I quite agree with you, but it's precisely because most of them are so ignorant within their own belief systems that I wanted to invite them here. We'd quite easily debate them and perhaps gain a few supporters. It is near impossible to do this at Che-Lives.com in that their bureaucratic mobocracy immediately alienates anyone who doesn't hold the ruling idea (a non-defined idea at that, except when negatively claiming certain groups such as "Stalinists" are against that idea, whatever it may be!)

Again, their idiocy would only be a counterpoint to better thought-out positions. I wouldn't expect informative posting from 95% of their users, but it would add traffic to this forum and increase debate.

Comradeche.com no longer exists, it was deleted after a new admin was given power and he chose to give a general amnesty, that is a full unbanning, to those from Che-Lives who had worked so hard to destroy the forum and slander it's members. It had its own problems, but I would say that it was far superior at its height than Che-Lives has ever been.

He didn't shut it down immediately after the sex scandal, but quite soon after he posted his resignation and basically put up a "for sale" sign on comradeche. It wasn't just one event, it was the combination of the sex scandal, the harrassment on behalf of Marxism-Leninism and Freiheits Kampfer (who was supposedly the other party involved in Tarasi's sexual deviency), and USSR's mismanagement of the site that probably led Tarasi to delete it.

I am simply telling you what i heard. this forum wasn't one i tried to get back into like che lives (our mikeyboy and silent eye days) because it simply was not worth it. che lives you could get a rise out of. The people at comrade che were not whiney liberal Tom morrello sock puppets.
