A German Protestant youth group has put together a 2006 calendar illustrated with erotic scenes from the Bible.
The 12 re-enacted passages feature a bare-breasted Delilah cutting Samson's hair and a nude Eve offering an apple.
The Nuremberg-based group said they wanted to represent the Bible in a way that would entice young people.
Nuremberg pastor Bernd Grasser said: "It's just wonderful when teenagers commit themselves with their hair and their skin to the bible."
"There's a whole range of biblical scriptures simply bursting with eroticism," said Stefan Wiest, 32, who took the racy photographs.
Anne Rohmer, 21, wearing garters and stockings, posed on a doorstep as the prostitute Rahab.
"We wanted to represent the Bible in a different way and to interest young people," she told news agency Reuters.
"Anyway, it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that you are forbidden to show yourself nude."
Bernd Grasser, pastor of the church in Nuremberg where the calendar is being sold, said he was supportive of the project.

Naturally, we will require pictures in order to properly condemn this blasphemy. Big ones.

Yes, I foresee tons of young males rushing out to purchase this calendar out of some sort of religious calling.

Once again the church (modern church/whatever you call it) tries to get hip with the society it created and eventually lost touch with. This attempt caught me by surprise though. How long do we have to wait for jpegs? :222: :hump:

Hey lenny, what do you have to say now in defense of your [incendiary adjective removed] buddies? If it brings them back to Christianity (Protestantism) then it is a good thing
Germany was two-thirds Protestant two to three generations ago, today barely over one-third of the residents of Germany are members of a Protestant church  If you count only Germans who are descended from the 1950 population it increases to close to 40% Protestant, but that is still very low considering what it was only two to three generations ago (65%+)

Yup. Your demon cult is dying out.
I'll take note that you do not object to the use of pornography if it is used by protestants. You're a degenerate pervert.

Your demon cult is dying out.Wrong again :argue:
There are at least 110 million Protestants in Europe, at least 130 million White-Protestants North America, and scores of millions more White-Protestants elsewhere in the world
Catholicism has been in decline in Germany too, so your gloating is foolish

This is what happens when religion becomes political. If it works, use it. Let's be as pragmatic as possible!
Sadly, Catholics are as political as Protestants, what with JP II's conversion-conquest of the third-world.
Guelphism and the later Reformation are largely responsible for the decline of religion from the spiritual to political realm.

Catholics are as political as ProtestantsCatholics are much more political than Protestants  Show me where there is a Protestant vatican (political state) or Protestant Pope (Pope=political figure). There is none!
As usual you are siding with Catholicism and against Protestants for flimsy reasons

Protestantism began as a political movement. Those who criticized Catholicism for spiritual reasons didn't want to break with the Church. But some of Luther's (and other critics) criticisms appealed to the masses, and were thus embraced by the masses. Enter the Reformation, the Hundred Years' War, etc.
Not to mention that English protestantism was wholly political.
What I mean by 'political' is not 'organized,' but that the religions look only for temporal rather than spiritual power, and spirituality comes second to politics--often being used as little more than propaganda. Protestantism is basically an appeal to the masses to gain their support, coupled with some spiritual brain-washing (best example of this is Puritanism, but it's present in most Protestant denominations, and modern Catholicism). It's all political.

Protestantism began as a political movement. Those who criticized Catholicism for spiritual reasons didn't want to break with the Church. You are wrong here, the Reformation was begun purely by religious reformers for religious reasons, those reasons being the enormous amount of false teachings, lies, and corruption of the Catholic Church. It only became "political" when the Catholic Church tried to eliminate Protestantism, the people who embraced the Reformation ideas saw this and nobly fought to protect themselves and their territory from Catholic attacks.
Also it became "political" only because the Pope and Catholic Church were trying to usurp political power, tyrannize the people, and dominate things politically. Naturally the liberty-loving Protestants of Europe and elsewhere would not accept this!
If Protestantism truly was completely political and not really religious, then surely Protestantism would have disappeared from the scene after the political quarrels of those days went away, but it has not gone away at all. Protestantism is today the fourth largest religion in the world after Islam, Catholicism, Hinduism
Not to mention that English protestantism was wholly political.Clearly you have never heard of Jon Wycliffe (known sometimes as "the Morning Star of the Reformation"), or heard of the English Reformation!
And clearly you have never read the "39 Articles of the Anglican faith", a very Protestant/anti-Catholic document. Read those articles and then say again that Anglicanism was totally political and not religious in any way
Protestantism is today the fourth largest religion in the world
You cite this as if it is evidence to help your position, but the fact that the number of adherents of a religion are so great supports my thesis that it is political. All conversion-attempts (even by Catholics) are necessarily wholly political in nature. Protestantism is an ideology more than a religion.

Which is why im personally so hostile to it, in addition to supporting the left with their "social justice" crap, they are doing everything they can to get every "Hey-Zeus" in South America over here. Given that catholicism is organized as a centralized military chain of command( with secret agencies built in) I see the most logical explanation as this being an orchestrated plot by the Vatican against the United States. All these apologetics about how Rome can't control its subordinates sounds like bullshit to me, they can defrock and excommunicate anyone they want anytime.
Every ordained member of the church follows orders or they is out.
