I'm writing a paper on my generation and what I think about it. I'm taking the lost generation route - that our generation has lost a sense of morality and respect..blah blah. I'm having trouble finding some books and I need a works cited by tomorrow morning, I was wondering if anyone knew a few books that they can offer me.

Thanks!

I think there's an inscription dating from ancient Egypt, describing the youth of the time as 'immoral' and 'disrespectful'. Some things just don't change.

I think there's an inscription dating from ancient Egypt, describing the youth of the time as 'immoral' and 'disrespectful'. Some things just don't change."The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for
authority, they show disrespect to their elders, they no longer
rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents,
chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their
legs, and are tyrants over their teachers."

Socrates is said to have said that in the fifth century BC

Do you know where Socrates wrote that? Is there any source for it?

And I'm just looking for examples of the "Lost generation". For example, I found an advertisement that was very sexual and I used that. Another is the girl and her bf who killed her parents or whatever a few weeks ago. I'm just trying to get through this paper quick because I have 4 big papers this week and Finals next week.
