I was once reading in HG Well's "An Illustrated Short History of the World" and came across a map of the various origins and divergences of modern-day ethnic groups. For some reason, Elamites, an ancient Iranian people were classified under negroids. Where does that come from? Does it have to do with these lineages?

The clear Sub-Saharan affinities of certain populations in Iran, particularly in its south, along the Persian Gulf, are attributable to the Indian Ocean slave trade in historic times.
G. Bertin, in The Races of the Babylonian Empire (The Journal of the Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland, Vol. 18. 1889, pp. 104-120) refers to the pronounced prognathism and often too-prominent noses of Elamites, as depicted in some samples of ancient art. Bertin, however, doesn't seem to view these traits to be indications of full-blown négritude. Elamites, after him, stood mostly within the "ground race", a primitive substratum found throughout the world -- with notable concentration in Ireland.
Similarly dubious lines of speculation by Wells' contemporaries could well have led to a negroid verdict.

Wouldn't it be possible that this "negroid" element would be a result of admixture with the Dravidian peoples? That seems logical considering that Balochistan and other parts of Iran have some Dravidian inhabitants. There is also a significant Dravidian element among some Arab peoples that does not seem to be a result of negroid admixture. Prognathism could result in many population without negroid admixture and negroids do not have prominent noses.

Yes, if the designation has any grounding in truth, it's probably in allusion to a veddoid strain.
I revisited Bertin. The general characteristics of his "ground race" are "short stature, round head, low retreating forehead, and prognathism." He in one breath claims that in Northern Europe and Asia "it has not been distinguished from the Tatars or the Finns" yet is "not uncommon" in Black Africa. As far as I can gather, the term is a catch-all for all types he deems archaic or unrefined.

The most intelligent in all races seem to be more progressive. An example of this type, deliberately selected from African-Americans is evident in Malcolm X. A model for true self-determination instead of slavery disguised as freedom.

Contrast this progressive type to MLK jr. who was merely a convenient mouthpiece, degenerate, and plagiarist. A womanizer who was not a true threat nor did he bring freedom to his people, his message appealed to house negroes.

If you look at the top half of MLK's head, blocking off the negroid jowls, he looks oriental. Has this been noticed before? It is compelling in the second photograph, but I noticed it in the first, before I saw the second.
Malcolm X looks quite the distinguished gentleman.
