Nothing terribly outstanding.

The meaning of "fine," as you're aware, is sometimes a matter of emphasis. When spoken, an unemphasized "fine" means "passable" while an emphasized "fine" means "great."

Had my statement been made in conversation it would have used an unemphasized "fine."

Dr. Tyson is a popularizer, not a groundbreaker. The former has its place, but it's not the most important thing in the sciences.
