What do others think of this economical idea?
Do people think this economical idea could govern a large nation or would it have to be implemented regionally?

On a nation-wide basis, distributism would not have any tangible justification and wouldn't differ much from other moral and ideological political doctrines (socialism, fascism) that can only be attainable authoritatively (i.e. artificially).

Do you think it can only be implemented regionally?
What if a wide nation had local regions be self governed?

Yes, and that is, incidentally, what best reflects my political views.

Well, there would be no point in having nations if regions were able to govern themselves. The nation-state would be meaningless without some form of national politics.

I was going for somthing more on the lines of a Confederacy or a modern form of Feudalism with national politics representing the unity of stemming from a similar culture.

Confederacies are unstable by nature. They will either be too weak to sustain themselves and fall apart, or they'll integrate into a closer union. You have to take that historical fact into account if you want to implement any economical idea on a regional level, under a bigger union of some sorts.
