I'm not much of an American football fan, but nonetheless I follow somewhat and I must say the attitude of the athletes is absolutely appalling. Porter was no exception; this new breed of arrogant, self-absorbed athletes show nothing but contempt for the game that has made them adored by millions and extraordinarily wealthy. It's not just blacks, it's whites, too.

There's a great line from the movie Baseketball where the main character is complaining about the way athletes have become so self-absorbed and reminisces back to the days when professional athletes were treated more like "indentured servants." :-D Seriously, they have so much talent yet their attitudes and lack of sportsmanship make them unbearable to watch. Let's go back to the days where professional athletes played for at least SOME love of the game and not for the contracts, and even had to have day-jobs on the side!

The sorry state of the NFL is due to the interjection of black thug culture. That's not to say white athletes didn't ever behave badly. My point is that by allowing their natural impulses, blacks will and do make professional sports into mirrors of their communites, which ain't good.
