Jane Fonda: U.S. Troops Are 'Killing Machines' (http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/12/13/234848.shtml)

"Hanoi Jane" Fonda is claiming that ever since Vietnam, U.S. troops have been trained to commit atrocities against innocent civilians as a matter of military policy.

"Starting with the Vietnam War we began training soldiers differently," the anti-American actress says in an email to the Washington Post.

Fonda claims she learned of the policy switch in "secret meetings" she had with military psychologists "who were really worried about what was happening to our combat personnel."

One doctor, she insists, told her U.S. troops had been deliberately trained to be "killing machines."

"This began," Fonda maintained, "because the military discovered that in World War II and Korea, [U.S.] soldiers weren't killing enough."

"So they changed training procedures" to teach troops how to commit atrocities.

Still, the anti-war gadfly cautions, it's important not to blame the soldiers themselves for carrying out war crimes.

Recalling the "Winter Soldier" hearings that she and John Kerry staged in 1971, Fonda lamented: "When you put young people into an atrocity-producing situation where enemy and civilian are commingled, where the 'other side' is dehumanized, we cannot be surprised."

Anti-war vets now returning from Iraq, Fonda cautioned, should be listened to instead of being dismissed as "unpatriotic."

Hell, Jane Fonda is a tired old Cunt looking for a throw. Nobody outside the perpetually-stoned extreme left respects her.

I think something in her brain must have gone "pop". This is not gonna be kind to her career.

She shouldn't blame the soldiers for following the demented and sadistic orders of their officers and Pentagon officials alike.

OMG, military officers learned something from Skinner, ATROCITIES!

This woman is stupid. Skinner's behaviorism was applied to infantry training because around one in 50 guys who hit the beach on D-Day actually shot their rifles at Germans. That's pretty poor IMO, when we're discussing the effectiveness of a nation's armed forces.

Fonda should STFU and do something productive. I'm not exactly sure what productive things she's capable of...

I think upon realizing that she's old and nobody really wants to give her attention (if you saw that movie "Monster in Law" you'd know what I'm talking about!) and she's just looking for ways in which to rekindly some kind of controversy around herself yet again, except this time she's just running her mouth like the rest of the liberal trash making completely and utterly stupid statements about something she knows very little about.

What's more interesting is that I read later on in life she regretted going to Hanoi and having those pictures taken with the North Vietnamese. I hate people like Jane FOnda because when they speak out they make anybody with leftist ideals look like complete retards.

Actually, all good soldiers are killing machines. That is their function. If the US were to send people to Iraq to pass out rainbow flags and sing 'Kumbaya' by campfires with the locals, those people wouldn't be called soldiers.
