Am I the only one to whom it seems that these demonstrations are made because Putin doesn't want to swallow everything from the USA?

He's got malcontented exiles waving about their chequebooks agitating away on one side and these hystericalised 'pro-democratic' protests on the other.
They have their knives out for this gradually evolving 'evil tyrant' alright..

Is Putin a threat to the West? Because he appoints governors, nationalizes some industries and goes after a few oligarchs? I'd support Putin if I saw him conflicting with the West but I don't see it... I trust Kasparov and the AKM. Don't be fooled by Putin's questioning of the US hegemon, he showed his true colors when he lashed out against Belarus.

No denying that. Though there are also radical authoritarian socialists who are part of the Other Russia.

Putin is not anti-West; he's merely pro-Putin. The focus of Putin's adminisration has been negligible on the world-scale, and has centered mainly around power consolidation. Corruption is worse under Putin than it was under even Elt'sin, gangsters run much if not all the economy, and problems of disease, poverty, illiteracy, etc. continue to grow. Putin mainly gets credit for his anti-liberalism, but his conduct is not from any sense of ideological bent, but rather extreme pragmatism.
The demonstrations are because Russians no longer have the security, hopes, and material foundations that existed during Soviet times. The West certainly tooks its part in antagonizing Russia - particularly thrusting upon them the acceptance of neo-liberal policies focusing on liberalisation, stabilization, and privatization.

You can hire one half the poor to kill the other half but you can't overthrow the government without some of the elite on the inside and the military being with you.

That doesn't square with Kasparov working with the Nazbols.

Even though these demonstrations aren't like the "Denim revolutionaries" or "Orange Revolutionaries" in Belarus and Ukraine respectively- it is very possible that agents of Berezovsky or the US are part of some of these organizations or parties(obviously not Nazbol or AKM). Those within the movement need to be wary of the power-players in these parties.

Does Berezovsky has strong support in people of Russia? How really strong he is?

No way, he is hated here. But this is a corrupt country and everyone has a price.

Sure U.S. agents are operating in Russia to cause sedition such as the recent protests. However there are plenty of individuals, especially on the left, who are displeased with the President's policies. I don't think that the U.S.A. caused this dissent. Has anyone spotted a major U.S. candidate for next year's election in Russia?
