Well, I didn't know where to put it, so...
Thanks to Missy Aggravation (why is she banned at all?), the myth of Russia as a northen European nation has been smashed. Now, is Russia European at all? I didn't imagine that Russian cities look like this:

That doesn't look European at all! Is Russia European?

A: Why has someone posted what is a rehash of an old thread with the same name and same photos?

B: Considering the degeneration that is common throughout Europe, perhaps it is better for the time being to not be 'European'.

I would consider Russia 'European' from 1703-1917, the reign of Peter I and the founding of St. Petersburg until the October Revolution. Russia should move in this direction again.

ed: I didn't notice this was under the 'Eugenics' subforum. Whether or not Russians are considered racially European doesn't interest me.

NO!

I had a course taught by someone who lived under Stalin and he talked about Europe and Russia as two different things. Most of Russia is in Asia.

So you put it in Eugenics? That's odd.

Most of Russia is not geographically located in Europe.

You have different kind of people in Russia. You have Josef Stalin East Caucasus style people, you have Ashkenazi Jews (they come from Russia), you have some nordic people, you have some typical slavs. You have some Muslims countries that were part of USSR.

The majority of the people, particularly the Slavs, live in the European part, as if that makes a difference.

And btw, I consider all the people I listed to be "white" anthropologically.

Europe is a fluid concept, even geographically. For most before the 19th century, Strasbourg was considered central Europe. For some today southern Europe is Georgia/Armenia, including members of this board. If we want it to be, even Vladivostok can be European. It's the same continent after all.

No, It is not. Neither European or Asian, perhaps in between, but definetely more Asian then European. turkey is also partly located in Europe btw...

As for its peoples, there are many types, and mixes aswell. To compare a Russian Slav with Slavs from Croatia, Slovenia or Czechia is compare day with night.

And if people think I dont know Iam talking about, I have been to Russia for several times:whip:

Just because a place is geographically not European does not make the culture and people not European - look at Australia, South Africa, or Canada.

I'd say Russia is somewhere between Asian (although that's a rather broad classification) and European.

When I say Russia is Asian, I don't mean to say Russians are related to the Chinese. The Caucasus mountains in Georgia kept many people from entering into areas of former USSR, and there was a mountain range I believe that kept out the Chinese.

Clearly Russia is Eurasian, not European.

Russia is clearly a European country, and pure Russians are of Nordic stock. The Russian Federation needs to be smashed so that Putin's plan of the creation of a USSR-2 can be foiled. The Asian part of Russia needs to be cut off, and European Russia should become a confederation which aligns itself strictly with Western Europe. Neither the Tsarist empire nor the Soviet Union were European constructions. They were anti-European as the Russian population had to bear the financial burden of supporting millions of Asians.
