1. Let us give oursleves our own user titles like before
2. Upload an index.htm to www.thephora.net
3. Enable us to see who is viewing the same subforum as we are
Anyone else feel free to add. :)

1. Don't greatly care
2. See here (http://www.thephora.net/forum/showpost.php?p=19211&postcount=4)
3. I dislike the paranoid "stalking" feeling I get on forums that have this "feature"
4. Who owns www.phora.net, www.phora.org and www.thephora.org? It would be nice if they could link directly here

3. Enable us to see who is viewing the same subforum as we areI agree; also I should like to see another, similar feature we used to have - the ability to see who has examined this or that specific thread.

I miss both of these features and would like to see them return.

Why in particular is that something that you would like to see return?

Why in particular is that someone that you would like to see return?
It is not someone, but something. Here is why: sometimes a topic pops up and it strikes me that so-and-so might have an interesting insight, so I would like to be able to see if that user has viewed the topic. It is also convenient to not have to click on profiles to see what users are viewing.

I think browsing should be anonymous. It's no business of a poster to know who has or has not read his posts.
The View-number should be information enough.
But cowcube, I enjoy e-stalking you!

It's not me that's the problem, it's other folks I don't want thinking I'm "following" them around
Nervous noobies, especially, should remain as anonymous as possible

They all require a hack to install them, and not all hacks are available for all versions of V-Bulletin (someone has to rewrite them). Even if they exist, the admins must decide to install them, and even if they do, we need to be able to locate the downloadsites for those hacks. So installing stuff costs time.
With every update of VB (and there are a lot of them annually), many of the hacks you had need to be reinstalled. Running the newest version is always safe, but quite often you don't have access to the full assortment of bells and whistles right away.

Problem addressed.

All in due time, young padawan.

Users currently online, viewing a certain thread, are now listed at the bottom of each page in that thread.

I seem to be getting logged out every time I post a message. The message posts, but I get kicked back to the log in screen. More irritating than earth-shattering, I guess, but something I'd appreciate the management looking into. Else I'll hold back 20% of my monthly rent. ;)

Maybe, but it only happens here. None of the other boards I sometimes look in at give me this problem. And I think they all use vB software.

And please make it optional. All the profile info showing at every single post tires. What's 'View Profile' option then for?
I'm satisfied with Join date, Location and Rep power only - everything else should be optional. So far, age displaying at every post is one information too much (so I removed mine). Keep it simple & efficient.

No, I am used to clean & simple design like it's been for the last few months, and these minor changes somewhat annoy me. Like that one about the text-bar of the shoutbox, now appearing on bottom instead on top.

I want them to make an effort and find that fact out in my profile, and not that I need to constantly toss it into their face with every post I make. :p

Weren't those rules implied in advance by naming those forums 'Highbrow'?
Seriously, any member that doesn't feel the inner need to obey those rules in those sections should be dismembered without a warning. This way, some may feel a bit uncomfortable, like if there was a 6ft warning in the Opera saying "Don't spit on the floor". My suggestion: remove them, and execute on sight. Cheers.
Edit: Nevermind this too. It seems I was typing it while you were editing your post.

You're quite harsh, Banat. I suggest we go easy and cut off one limb only per transgression.
I would like to have a lot more smilies available. It's not a big deal, but if it would be possible to give us many more smilies with just a few keyboard hits, please do.

I noticed that a japanese name M.a.t.s.u.s.h.i.t.a. written as one word was changed into Matsushita, with asterisks in it. I hope this can be turned off.
<<edit>> it is turned off. Apparently the article was copied from a site like Stormfront. :)
