forum logging users out every 10 minutes

Since I came online this afternoon, the forum periodically logs me out for no apparent reason. This is happening to others as well.

I am using Mozilla and Safari (Mac) and not getting that problem.

I haven't tried internet explorer today.

Big time; however, not for all it seems. Checking the box seems to help.

Failed to pull up the forum once or twice, but no log outs.

Lots of exceeding capacity (20%?) errors earlier.

I increased the time-out period. Not sure if that will do anything but it's worth a shot.

Hmm. I'm gonna tinker with the settings some more. Try deleting your cookies too will ya.

I did, but I've still been logged out twice more since my last post in this thread. Leopoldbloom got logged out again, also.

Whatever the problem is, the forum software isn't causing it. I think it might be the host.

Yea, its very frequent now. Sometimes I cant log in at all.

I checked the 'remember me' box last time and I haven't been logged out since. Until this is straightened out, you should try this.

Yes, you should definiely be doing that. I've always done so, and I've had very little trouble of late.

Whatever the problem is, I think it does need to be fixed. It is okay for those of us who do our posting from personal machines, but as Macrobius pointed out in the shoutbox, we don't want to check 'remember me' when posting on public computers.

I've had 'remember me' on for a year now... only when I wipe cookies do I have to bother logging in.
