this isnt exactly high culture, ive been trying to nail down my fears in a few words the past years and i finally got something close to what i feel.
woke up the other day from horrible nightmares and went straight to computer to type this down:

"I just realized that the worst dreams to me, arent about what evil can do to me but rather what the evil in me can do,
about how the evil in me can be.
what the evil can be in me
what the evil in me can be"

That basically means that I dont have even nightmares about something bad happening to me, practically I have no fear when it comes to that.
My most horrible dreams and what i fear is that I can and could harm others.
That or I just fear of harming others more than harm coming to me.

I agree with the message of the dream. There is no such thing as an external evil. There is evil but it's within and people project and that's probably how they came up with Satan and all that. People need a scapegoat and it's not really surprising that Satan/Lucifer/Devil is associated with a goat.
