It's not a public poll - I just want to see the results.

Print Vidya. $30.00 USD. Members who choose this category will receive a hard-copy version of Vidya delivered to their mailing address and will have online access to Vidya.
Internet Vidya. $10.00 USD. Members who choose this category will NOT receive a hard-copy version of Vidya, but will have online access to Vidya.
I don't qualify. I'm not dumb enough to fork over 30 bucks to some sleazy jews. This scam is similar to MENSA. Only gullible low-IQ creatures fall for it.

True - it's a scam - thanks for voting Hermans - and whether or not you qualify you're one of the most incisive posters here.

No, but I took the SAT when I was 15, might have scored higher if I'd taken in when American kids take it (it's 17/18 right?) and actually studied for the maths portion.

I'm fairly well convinced that study can make a big difference - especially for some of the tests he lists.
I took the GRE in 2002, and that is not accepted (probably because the analytical portion was converted into essay writing skills).
I probably wouldn't qualify anyway, though, judging by the 0-1994 and 1994-2001 options.
I got 630/800 verbal, 760/800 quantitative, and 5/6 on the essays. My English wasn't that good back then, but my math skills were probably better than they are today.

I haven't been sufficiently tested to be able to know if I qualify or not.

I speculate they added the writing part to muddy the waters for women.
I speculate the adjustment of the SAT was also done for women - a 690 quantitative on the old scale was actually adjusted down to a 680 - even though the general trend was to inflate scores.

Well it defiantly does for the SAT verbal. All you have to do is memories the definition of the hundred or so words that come up over and over again and it's a walk in the park.

I have never taken a single one of those exams, and I make a decent living (right out of college no less); so I consider myself much smarter than anyone who identifies themselves based on the score of a test or two and forking over $30.00 to a website.
