Referee Martin Hansson (SWE)
Assistant referees Stefan Wittberg (SWE) Henrik Andren (SWE)
Fourth official Martin Ingvarsson (SWE)
UEFA Referee observer Jaap Uilenberg (NED)

The top two from the group progress to the finals. Group E Standing:

Croatia 8 20
Russia 8 18
England 8 17
Israel 9 17
F.Y.R. Macedonia 8 7
Estonia 9 3
Andorra 8 0

As you can see England and Russia have 4 matches remaining, the 2 vs each other, tonight in London and later in Russia, then Russia plays 'Israel' and Andorra, 2 easy wins, 6 points, and England plays Estonia and Croatia. So England probably needs to win this match to qualify for the finals. This is an important match and should be exciting as England will attack a lot. However the Russian team is very good at the moment. Hopefully Russia will win. The 'England' team has multiple Negroid players. I predict 1-1 result. Russia will be happy with a draw.

Russian team is crap, they had luck in both matches with Croatia, they should have lost in Moscow and in Zagreb. England will crush them like a bug.

Ok, that sucked, Russia was thoroughly outplayed, they created chances but their finishing was poor, the 3rd choice goalie was poor and their marking was soft. It was a shame about the disallowed goal but Michael Owen was excellent. I still hope however that Russia can develop from this and defeat England in Moscow. Russia can get 9 points from their final 3 matches, and if they defeat England, and England does not beat Croatia, Russia can make sure to qualify.

England 3 Russia 0

It will be interesting to see what kind of a team Mclaren will pick for Englands following matches after these excellent performances. He appears to have struck gold with this make-shift team he picked for the last 2 fixtures, but soon he will have Rooney, Lampard, Hargreaves, Beckham, and a few others returning from injury.

Surely he cant leave Rooney on the bench.
