An ingenious photographical technique, and decades ahead of its time.

A similar colour-compositing technique was used on the Voyager space probes. The probes were fitted with black-and-white digital cameras with a rotating colour filter wheel mounted in front of the lens.

Yep, he could have been of a great value later for movie and photography industry, if not the revolution. I don't blame him for leaving the country, though.

So what do you guys think: did Soviet regime messed it all up for Russians or not? Would Russia be better now if communists never came to power?

The Czar's incompetance is responsible for the Soviet resgime.

Russia would have been better off if they had overthrown the Czar 50 years earlier.
