So I use Limewire ( www.limewire.com ) since more than a year now and I have over 2000 songs, even though I don't listen to all of them all the time. I heard that deleting a good part of them ( those I don't really like or listen to anymore ), including videos clips would makes more space on my laptop, I also noticed that my laptop tend to be slower with the time but I don't know if it is due to all the songs, what do you think ?

Well its always healthy to do a clean up, you can always put all your songs onto CDs and then delete the ones you dont listen to much.

Defragment your disk regularly and free up at least 15% of your hard drive.
I use Diskeeper 10 (http://www.diskeeper.com/defrag.asp)

limewire is filled with spyware that keeps running in the background of your computer adn tends to load up when you boot your comp.

Use both Adaware SE and Spybot: Search and Destroy against spyware (both programs are free):

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
I run them at least once a week.

I used to use them alot, but now I just use one program called Microsoft Antispyware Beta. It's also free, but you have to use a valid version of Windows
