That's the Roman nose. It comes from a Dinaric element of the Roman people. While not overwhelmingly Dinaric, the Italian people do have Dinaric elements which predominate in portions of that country. The Dinaric race is also widespread and is quite common in the Meditteranean (sp?), central Europe, and the Balkans. Trace elements have been absorbed by other peoples far away from the race's origin in the Danube area.

Well, thanks, you can lock this. I asked this because that is my nose (smaller, but the same "idea"), and some people said it's not a "white" nose. Now I can give them a proper answer.

This type of nose became known in the Celto-Teutonic countries as a “Roman” nose because it was less typical among people of Celto-Teutonic phenotype and was most typically encountered by them when in contact with Romans of Mediterranean phenotype. If there had been a Jewish Empire instead of a Roman Empire it would probably be known as a Jewish nose. The fact that some Europeans have this type of nose doesn’t mean that this nasal formation is not more prevalent among, and typical of the Jewish phenotype, which is what I think you are hinting at, isn’t it?


Now why don’t you go and do something really convincing like posting some pictures of atypical Jewish actors to convince everyone that there is no such thing as a Jewish phenotype?

It's only a "white" nose if the ancestors you inherited it from were white by ethnicity, if you are a Spanish Jew this is hardly likely is it? Why are you ashamed of being correctly percieved as Jewish on account of your hooter?

Well, there's sort of a "semitic-sytle" nose, but certainly no jewish nose.

Libanese Christian or Muslims (have a look at Jamie Farr :) ) will look much more "jewish" to the nasal observer, than for example Russians of indeed jewish creed.

That's another name for it, however calling it a roman nose is not incorrect.

And I am not a "Spaniard", but I have some Spanish influence in me, about 15% Id'e say. Such Jews are a med mix, they are not called Meditteranean Jews for nothing.

I am not very familiar with all the subraces that make up the Caucasoid race, so I can't say much about it, except that I need to study the subject far more deeply. The only firm opinion I have is that racially the Jews are made up of at least two subraces.
