January 9, 2006 - Litzi Epstein also lost three siblings and her mother in the Holocaust. But she and her husband Leon say this past weekend; the hate that dominated so much of Litzi's childhood was on their front door step.

Next to the morning paper, were some flyers with the headline "There was no Such Thing as the 'Holocaust.'"
"It's coming close to home in fact its in the home already."
The article quoted a political science professor saying there is no proof of a Holocaust. Epstein says the proof is in her own history.
Litzi Epstein: "It makes me cringe to think that someone would make up a story like that."
The Epstein's weren't the only ones to find the anti-Semitic literature on their front lawn. Their neighbors, many Christian got the flyers too, but were reluctant to talk to Action News on camera.
They called the papers garbage and that's exactly were they put them.

The Epsteins and other neighbors we talked to said this is the first time anything like this has happened here in fact they consider this a very peaceful neighborhood.

Litzi Epstein "We've lived here so many years we never had anything like this. Jews, Christians we got a long beautiful. I respected their religion and they, I think, respected ours."
Police say they did get a complaint and are looking in to it.
The Epstein's hope that this upcoming weekend all they find on their front door is their newspaper.

I posted this as a story, in itself, but to also bring up a funny pattern I can't help but to take note of. Do you notice, how every time an incident that could be called "anti semitic" takes place, whether it be stories like this, a burned synogague(sp) or even the typical swastika painted, somewhere, etc.etc., there is always a holocaust survivor that comes out of the woodwork. One that was somehow directly affected by "the hate?" lol.

Every old Jew is a holocaust survivor it seems.

When I was in high school, I was having a discussion with a friend of mine (a Jew) about my NS sympathies. Then some Jewish girl started crying about how her mother, father, uncle Saul, grandparents, and their puppies (or something) were all killed by evil Nazis in the Holocaust. We laughed at her and my friend (the Jew) made fun of her.

My own personal experience with the Holocaust © was one of great sorrow to me. My parent's suffering was far greater. During those horrible years I can still recall how we rarely got to the Catskills and those horrible visions of those light patches on the paint where the Mona Lisa, The Portrait of Dr. Gachet, and Warhol's Soup Cans used to be. These were all stolen by the Nazis in 1962, who used to solicit Papa Vito's pizza on 45th.

During those days we suffered greatly under the National Socialists, with my father barely being able to purchase 3 newspapers (the companies, not the rags they produce). The worst memory by far though is my mother's near cremation at the hands of some German sausages which caused a greasefire on the drapes, and nearly gave her a blister. We have all suffered at the hands of the Nazis whether it was by pointy needles trying to 'cure' us of disease in the camps, or when our mercedes broke down, and we got a paper cut writing a check to the mechanic, which we later had the duress of having to stop payment on. Thus, our suffering was doubled.

? how old would she be now if her own mother and father were in it? 63?

How the hell could she even say her own motehr and father were in it? Perhaps her grandparents but....mother and father? wtf? Was she actually crying?

I was exaggerating. She listed off quite a few family members, though.

Was she actually crying?
She was upset at first, and began crying when mocked.

What responsibility do Americans bear for the Holocaust, that they should feel guilty about it?

Well, if you insist..they turned away many Jews trying to escape Germany, they did not act upon the "inteligence" about the Camps, etc, etc...
