Found this might be of interest - Deutscher KriegsFriedhof ,Glencree in the Wicklow Mountains south of Dublin.

Sorry - photos can't be seen on the WA if you don't subscribe .
These photos I took about 18 years ago - "lost" for a long time.
They show the cemetery itself and the headstone of perhaps the only serious German spy inserted into Ireland Dr. Herman Gortz .
Gortz took his own life when faced with being sent back to Germany , the stone showing a sword sheathed in barbed wire he made this himself.
Most of the men buried here are Luftwaffe aircrew who crashed in Ireland and Kriegsmarine sailors who were cast ashore , some drifted from as far away as the Bay of Biscay.
The cemetery itself is in the Wicklow hills , sited in a small disused quarry which sits well into the landscape.
If you are ever in the area well worth a visit.


Sad yet peacefully reflective surroundings .
