NZ making reforms to their citizenship policy?

I heard on a political dissent radio show that they have recently made reforms in New Zealand in regards to citizenship so that you can't just jump into the country, give birth to a baby and bestow it with citizenship. As the radio puts it, they put an end to giving citizenship to "anchor babies." Anarch is this true? I'll see if I can find an actual article on this.

Yes I find it quite peculiar that an article didn't prop up about this. I was listening in on an interview (which was recent) from Political Dissent and they mentioned it there. Not sure what's going on. OBVIOUSLY as you said, they would have mentioned this on SF Downunder without a doubt.

Btw Ken I just checked SF Downunder and there seems to be even more problems with lebbos? Also I've just learned about a recent rape case in the Oz. http://www.dailytelegraph.news.com.au/story/0,20281,17769951-5001028,00.html Are these dudes lebbos? Obviously they are muslim telling from their names but they don't state the ethnicity so not sure if they are lebanese.

definitly isn't consensual if held at knife-point. THese fucking bastards better be locked away for a long time. What the fuck is wrong with these lebanese in Australia? Did Lebanon deport all of it's criminals or something? seriously, wtf? I don't know of any such incidents involving lebanese people in other countries.

I'm fucking pissed. What the hell is it with all of these lebbos raping australian girls? You'd think there would be harsher sentencing from this crap going on. If crap like this went on in the U.S. like it does in Australia, then we wouldn't think twice about locking them up for awhile or possibly deporting them. No sympathy for rapists.

After consulting with Generator (who lives in Oz) and from my own personal experience I think its safe to conclude that its because the Christian Lebanese are easier to assimilate and the Muslim Lebanese are not. The Christian Lebanese are more westernized, Beirut is the most "western" part of the middle-east. They also tend to be fond of French and I am assuming that they adopted such lifestyles from the French.

They usually have more money, better education, etc. and the muslim lebanese tend to have less. In Australia muslim lebbos tend to be the majority which is why the "lebbos" are being problematic there. The Lebanese Diaspora is typically christian which is why they don't have a poor reputation. Funny thing about Lebanon is that although muslims outnumber christians 61/62-39/38, if you account for their worldwide diaspora as well the lebanese are majority Christian. So this explains a lot about how bitter the muslim lebanese are. Their christian counterparts have more money, are more modern, are more respected, have much better looking women, have a better culture and are much more assimilated into western society.

Immigration:

A more holistic immigration/repatriation/deportation/inter-country adoption/refugee/citizenship policy that must have as its basis:

1. is helpful/contribute not harmful,
2. must have similarity not just differences,
3. selection must also be racial/blood/cultural and not just economic/legal/political/language/health/labour/driver's license/geogr,
4. must serve our national interest(s) not just private/foreign interest(s)/agendas,
5. is long sighted not just short term.
6. no importing more immigrants/refugees/guests if/while we are unable to adequitly provide for the popn/probs we already have.
7. Immigrants must not take jobs from NZers nor go on long term UB (except reciprocal: NZers overseas do same thing).
8. Austral not As/Pac.

"If they come here they should fit into our culture/laws/etc", but if we are going to be so moralistically open about who we allow/ask to come here then we should also be willing to accomodate to them to some extent.

this bull about children who are born on certain soil automatically getting citizenship, if your parents are not citizens or residing there illegally then your on the very same status as they are, there is no need for these stupid special privilegdes anywhere
