Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs wrote the Resolution on Iraq (http://www.adlusa.us/iraqr454.htm) in 1998.

Is Iran next (http://www.adlusa.us/iranr453.htm)?

If the U.S. had to invade, you may have to wait awhile as we get the funds and manpower. Iran has mountains, and alot of them. Not to mention an army (although crappy in comparison) that may actually fight if invaded. Besides, Iran probably has crooked ties across the middle east and we'd probably see more havoc from the shii'te population in Iraq.

US would be reluctant to invade Iran if Israel was not threatening bombing runs, in which case there is no choice since sacrifice of Israeli lives is unthinkable. However, that invasion could be the last for the US for reasons you cite.

The US has no tangible casus belli with regard to Iran. The nuke issue isn't enough.

Come now, if mere allegations against Iraq were sufficient, Iran is providing direct evidence, like the desire to destroy Israel, and worst of all, denial of the Holocaust (http://sdlusa.com/holofact.htm) on which Israel was founded.

The Bush family had old scores to settle with Saddam, and Americans were angry at the Arabs for 911

The Jews certainly pushed for war with Iraq, but without those two factors it could not have happened

Perhaps if Jimmy Carter Jr. were president...

And the americans will be angry and all pumped up , waving their flags, etc. all over again when another attack comes. This time the terrorists will most likely have some ties to Iran.

Shiites of Iraq will indeed rise up if the US invades Iran, according to militia leader in exile Muqtada al-Sadr.

That's why if any action is taken to thwart Iran's nuclear capability it will be done under the guise of Israeli power, even though the US will likely supply some covert forces or at the very least intel.

Tony Blair lied , of that you can be sure.
If America does invade Iran they are worse than mad . For God's sake can't you do something about that quarter wit you elected.
How will history judge George Bush jr. ?

Why is the expansion of Iranian power a bad thing for the US?

The reason the Arabs have caused America so much grief over the last decade is because the collapse of Communism deprived them of their traditional enemy

The expansion of Shiite heresy into Arabia will likely focus minds in Iraq and elsewhere

A lot of these guys are going to start asking themselves whether the energy devoted to fighting the United States would not be better directed elsewhere...

Well, from what it seems, all it would really take it play on American society's lack of knowledge on the population of Iran and we're in business. What I can foresee at least is a possible bombing by Israel of a nuclear facility down the road that is accused of contributing to nuclear weaponry.
