I'm so glad the Government cares so much about my health. Journalists seem to agree, too. Everyone thinks it's a great thing.

2008: Goodbye cigars?

Workplace, hotels, restaurants, malls, bars and clubs. Or you stop smoking next year, or you will be limited in your walks through public spaces.

January 1, 2008 will be the first day of the rest of a social life with no smoke. All spaces with more than a hundred square meters(kitchen areas and WC's are not included) can choose between banning smoke or creating smoker spaces[ed: read expensive ventilation systems]. All others will be forced to prevent the entrance of smokers.

It's funny how this stuff all seems to be synchronized world-wide. Australia & the UK banned smoking in bars in mid-2007, and New Zealand a year or two before that. There's nowhere to run!

I'm so glad they banned smoking in public places here. Now one can go to a bar or restaurant without being forced to breathe in other people's 2nd hand smoke, and get it all in one's clothes. Major improvement.
