We all have our nerdy sides, somewhere and somehow. I as a Las Vegan happen to be a pretty cool guy, if I say so myself. :p

However, even I am not immune. I am a Battlestar Galactica fan (The new one, of course, not the gay old one), and I'm a collector of Roman 54mm miniatures and the Forces of Valor WWII tanks. (Gorgeous pieces and cheap, considering the quality) I also play the Richard Borg wargames (The new Ancient one, as well as "Battlecry" and Memoir '44).

Now there's a new Axis and Allies tactical game that everyone who enjoys a wargame with their imported beer should check out. :)

War gaming reminds
me of chess, but obsession
is requir'd to play.

I have three legions worth of handpainted 15 mm figures. A buddie of mine went for the barbarians and we still have a blast now and then. Table top strat games arer basically dead at this time. I still have tonns of them stored but there is no more time to set them up like before in this age of PC games.

I also have 25 mm Romans for Diorama use (To big to make any decent manouvers).

I also have still tonns of Tamiya vehicles and troops waiting for my retirement or Ebay stitting and gathering dust.

I have a few boxes full of handpainted "Blood Bowl" figures by Games Workshop.

I was a junkie for that game when I was a kid...it was an obsession of mine from about '87-'91...but nobody plays it anymore.

I guess we're getting old...lamenting the death of table top games and such.

Mr. Yi used to paint figurines, but he did not play with them.

Have you checked this out?

Very fun. The pieces end up looking like markers on an ancient map. :D

Also, great Roman vs. Carthage scenarios, and small enough miniatures can fit on the hexes. The cards allow another level to the game.

Proud owner of several hundred 15mm Napoleonics from the defunct Heritage line, with artillery and Prussian Cavalry figures to boot. Never got into WW II miniatures, Squad Leader kind of blunted that end, pricewise, though I had the hopes once of finding enough suitable to dress up Squad Leader a little bit. No longer have even remotely enough time to set up a decent size table these days, though.

I used to play some Avalon Hill games, that is Panzer Leader, Panzer Blitz, Fortress Europa, and had the whole Third World War series; I had a bunch of HO/00 scale figures and equipment too.

I don't enjoy painting minis anymore. Strangely enough, once I got good at it, I stopped liking it.

I've got a bunch of W40K Imperial Guard and Space Marines I need to paint.
