Suspended sentence for Norman Lowell

Norman Lowell was on Thursday sentenced for two years imprisonment suspended for four years and fined €500 after he was found guilty of inciting racial hatred.The leader of the right-wing Imperium Europa was also found guilty of insulting and denigrating the President of Malta.

Mr Lowell was being charged on four counts, three of which concerned racial hatred, in relation to public speeches he delivered between 2003 and 2006.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera presided over the case.

Superintendent Peter Paul Zammit led the prosecution, while Dr Emmy Bezzina appeared for the defendant.

Norman Lowell, leader of the right-wing Imperium Europa party this morning filed a 64-page appeal from his March 27 conviction of inciting racial hatred and insulting the President of Malta.

Speaking outside the courts, Mr Lowell said that he would save Malta from the disastrous situation it has found itself in because of property developers, and return it to the paradise in the Mediterranean it once was in the 1800s.

He added that he "would make all the Europids, all one billion of them come to Malta on a pilgrimage to see the temples”.

"We have had 20 years of squalid socialism, under the saviour of Malta, when we had a telephone directory made up of 60 pages all under the same surname, no one would know if it was the priest or the village whore, that was the “stamp” of socialism. Today we have the stamp of a prime minster who used to be the president of the catholic action group, but still the same tyranny. His uncle used to condemn people to a life in hell because they used to read a newspaper, his nephew now has the dubious honour of putting people in prison because they wrote a geo-political article on the internet. Malta and Communist China are the only countries in the world that put people in prison for writing on the internet,” Mr Lowell said.

Lawyer Emmy Bezzina said that they had received messages of support from all over the world.

I believe he wrote an anti-semitic article on the internet and "insulted" the Maltese president, by calling him "President Lumumba", in a public speech. Norman Lowell has been effectively silenced by a court ruling, and banned from contesting the MEP elections. The suspended sentence against Lowell has been declared to be fully operative. His lawyer says that contestation at the European level is not excluded.

I think:

1. the authorities knew that Lowell could get a considerable number of votes from disgruntled Maltese at the MEP level, because whereas the national elections are practically hijacked by party brainwashing, the MEP election are thought of by the normal voters as "safe" to deviate from voting traditions, and,

2. Lowell has no chance of successfully contesting the case at EU level, simply because the EU is far far more liberal and left-leaning than our government. Our government silenced Lowell on purely practical grounds, the EU would silence, and probably even jail, Norman on ideological grounds.

A silly comparison, because National Socialism and Fascism propose a form of government which Norman Lowell continuously declares himself against. The only point on which he'd possibly agree on with them, and then with National Socialism more so than with Fascism, it's the preservation of the White race. But he is a minimalist-state libertarian and a pro-capitalist, descriptions which cannot be ascribed to either NS or Fascism.

One other thing in which he differs, and which struck me particularly, is that he is in favour of the small nations, like the Basques and the Swiss (in a European Federation), which the Nazis clearly showed the intention to annex.

Also do note that among the Italian Fascist ranks there were many avant-garde artists whom the Nazis and the Commies would have shot as "degenerate".

To update those interested on the MEP elections taking place in Malta last weekend and which Norman Lowell took part, Norman's party Imperium Europa did badly overall, but much better than in any other election at about 4000 votes. The so-called third party, the leftist Greens, were basically outed and got a result similar to Norman's, so much so that we can say that we have now a second third party on the island, and that is Imperium Europa.

Norman Lowell, in a press conference, has declared the formation of a more structured and formal new right party, whereas before he had contested elections as an independent candidate.

First of all a word of welcome to the gentleman of the press, media here –
and readers of Imperium Europa : greetings.

Today is a momentous day for Europe and the European Man.
It is also a historical day for Malta, this Sacred Island.

Now why is this? Today, with the launching of this book Imperium Europa: the book that changed the world, today we have fired the opening shot of the Third World War of Liberation – the liberation of European Man from the enemy knocking at the gates – and much more lethal, the enemy within – the hidden enemy. This is the start of the final countdown - the final battle.


Unlike the Economic EU: that colossus, that quasi-communist-soviet-union, our vision of Imperium Europa uniting all Europids together - this Vision, uniting the four cousin sub-nations: the Anglo-Saxons, the Teutons, the Slavs and the Latins: this IDEA could only originate in Malta. Now why is this?

Well it’s all in the book of course, but it is primarily due to the unique Sacred Geography of Melita, this Sacred Island of ours. This island, which is at the centre of four contrasting, centrifugal forces. We are at the very centre of this struggle, amongst these four forces in eternal conflict, since time immemorial.

The book is a spark that will light up a flame, which will set Europe ablaze. It is a fire, a regenerative flame: regeneration, restauration, instauration of a whole race of biological aristocrats and of a great civilization.

Agenda Bookstore hosts far-rightist for book signing

Agenda Bookstore last week granted floor-space to far-rightist Norman Lowell, for the book-signing event of his reprinted book ‘Imperium Europa’.
Carrying the boisterous tagline ‘The Book that Changed the World’, the book is described as a “radical response to the all important questions of the survival of the Europid race – that race of biological aristocrats that gave the world everything.”
Ignoring a direct question on why his retail chain had hosted Lowell for a book-signing, chief executive Malcolm Miller said his company “encouraged freedom of expression”.
“Agenda Bookshop carries thousands of books with a huge diversity of opinion. We do not act as censors, and if anything always encourage freedom of expression. It is up to the reader to decide what they want to read and not our job to obstruct the availability of any material.”
Miller did not reply as to what policy Agenda operates when it grants publicity to authors such as Lowell, whose anti-immigrant sentiment had led to a conviction for incitement to racial hatred.
Lowell was convicted on three charges of incitement, and was handed down a two-year sentence, suspended for four years.
Writing in his internet forum on his book, Lowell says “a great destiny” awaits Malta. “Our island… will become a beacon for all Europids; [a] Mecca of the White Man.”
Lowell’s book also includes forewords by right-wingers Tomislav Sunic and Constantin von Hoffmeister. Tomislav Sunic is an anti-Semitic author who collaborates with the racist Council of Conservative Citizens as well as the American Renaissance group. Von Hoffmeister is also a contributor to American neo-Nazi e-publication Stormfront.
