Yeah, I'm plugging them again. Death grunts, chorus, orchestral, mezo-soprano. Good shit.

The only thing this band has going for them is a legion of dedicated metal nerds who lust after their lead vocalist. Talentless meandering tripe.
I'm disappointed in you Anima. I thought you had better taste than this?:nono:

It is so effete that not even Napalm Records would put it out.

For those of you wondering, I would recommend the song "The Last Crusade" for those who haven't listened to them before. I love the acoustics to it but I am not a fan of the falsetto.

I downloaded the making of dvd, and it was cool watching the chorus, rock instruments, and orchestra all in sync the studio. The chorus has a raghead and a negro thrown in, but oh well.
poor piano guy has to conduct and play at the same time :(

Agree with Mazdak. Cannot abide cookie monster/dog-bark vocalists, or understand anyone who does. They've ruined more otherwise-good cds than I can count.

I'm no metal nerd, but assuming that their lead vocalist is the red-head . . .:p

Cookie monster vocals are an acquired taste. Mark Jansen (of Epica) I tolerate because it's a nice constrast with the sopranoa/chorus/strings.
Pure guitars and death grunting is terrible, I agree.

She took classical singing lessons when she was 15 after listening to a Nightwish CD.
Nightwish is also excellent, their best album being Once. Ghost Love Score is probably the most epic song ever made.

Shane: yes, you're right.
Anima: You want epic? Listen to Summoning. If you're already familiar with them, they have a new album coming out in March I believe.
