Wallace Fard was born 1891 in New Zealand. He was the founder of the Black Muslim sect, "Lost-Found Nation of Islam in North America". Fard arrived in the United States in 1913, settling briefly in Portland, Oregon. He was arrested in 1918 for violation of the Woolwine Act (California prohibition law) and in 1926, for the violation of the State Poison Act (sale of narcotics) and was sentenced to San Quentin. After his release from prison in 1929, he went to Chicago, then on to Detroit as a silk peddler. In 1934, Fard left Detroit and was never heard from again. A San Francisco newspaper article written in 1963 exposed Fard as an enterprising racketeering fake. - FBI (http://foia.fbi.gov/foiaindex/fard.htm)

According to FBI records, Fard (pronounced fuh-RAHD) Muhammad is identical to Wallace Dodd Ford, also known as Wallace Dodd, whose birth is recorded by the FBI as February 25, 1891, of mixed European and Polynesian parentage. There is much uncertainty about his origins. It has been claimed that he was born in New Zealand or in Portland, Oregon, of parents who came from Hawaii. - Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_Fard_Muhammad)

One thing is for sure, neither photo shows anything resembling a "black (http://www.africarte.it/foto-storiche/Mongo-%20Bantu%20Congolese.JPG)" man. I wonder if peddling this theology to blacks paid him more than selling drugs to them?

Of all the Afrocentric leaders Martin Luther King and maybe Al Sharpton come closest to a real black African phenotype. Elijah Muhammed, Louis Farrakhan, Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson, Rev Wright, et al all look(ed) strongly honkified.

He looks like your everyday Maori (most of whom are of partial European ancestry).

(Politician John Tamihere).

I never knew the founder of NOI was born in NZ. That is an awesome piece of trivia.

Wallace Dodd Ford may have born in NZ, but not Master Fard Muhammad. Those are two different people, and Mr. Ford was not the founder of NOI.

According to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Master Fard Muhammad is of mixed parentage -- he had a Black father and a White mother.

There's a YouTube video where some NOI guys explain the above photo is a fake and is someone else. The below is universally believed to be the actual guy, who doesn't remotely look black, or even part black. The idea is that he's half black and half white so as to be able to "pass among the Devils."

Yes, all of the above look as though they have quite a decent amount of white devil ancestory.
Wallace Fard didn't even have an obviously black African appearance at all, as these guys do. I don't know how I would classify him exactly, but if I saw a person of his appearance walking down the street, black would not be something that would come to mind at all.

Many N.O.I./ New Black Panther Party members are of partial white descent. Malcolm X(born Malcolm Little) had a white grandfather, whom raped his grandmother. Hence the reason for his red hair. Wallace Fard is believed to have been part ethnic Indian (from India). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_Fard#Controversy_over_identity This guy definately looks like a mulatto. http://www.foxnews.com/images/244531/0_61_320_panthers.jpg

People who are mixed are more conscious of race and prone to go overboard proving their blackness, like a narcissistic personality disorder they adopt a false superiority complex to mask an inferiority complex. Except there's nothing "inferior" about being light skinned and part-white, they should form their own race apart from blackity-blacks and see where evolution takes them.
