After Nacional's revelation last week on the existance of mad cow disease in Croatia, several doctors and health care officials contacted Nacional this week from both the clinic and from the Zagreb Clinical Hospital and corroborated Nacional’s claims with their own knowledge

Inspired by Nacional’s discovery last week that a patient has been hospitalized in the clinic for infective illnesses on suspicions that she suffers from mad cow disease, and dissatisfied with the obvious attempts by certain physicians to cover this up before the public, several doctors and health care officials have contacted Nacional this week from both the clinic and from the Zagreb Clinical Hospital and corroborated Nacional’s claims with their own knowledge. These individuals, who requested they remain anonymous, told Nacional of their knowledge of the existence of several other similar cases of patients whose symptoms rightfully were suspected of being mad cow disease, but their medical files either disappeared from the official statistics or their final diagnosis was the classical variation of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) without the precise note of whether the...
