In May this year, the chief of an ancient Caribbean people came up with a drastic solution to protect their heritage - and their future.

Chief Charles Williams of the Carib - or Kalinago - people of Dominica said they should not marry non-Kalinago people.

"The impact of colonisation has been so strong on us that if we do not take steps to protect the race, it will be soon extinct," he said.

A radical statement, but can basically summarized in this way: "We don't want your 'progress,' please leave us alone and let us nurture and develop our own cultural standards." Kalinago is simply being a realist about the future of his people. He realizes that unless he protects the ethnocultural heritage of his people, both they and their culture will be consumed by the globalist forces that threaten to turn every place on earth into a supermarket for morons. As believers in parallelism, or the idea that we should allow parallel communities to prosper on their own grounds, we support the independence and freedom of the proud Caribbean people to preserve their heritage and wisdom about the world.
