Mockery

I would have posted this in Socialist Paradise but it has more to do with Social Darwinism and Eugenics in general. That, and I'd prefer to have an actual discussion on this rather than let it be left unanswered in Socialist Paradise.
Lately I've been adopting more and more of what can be considered a right-wing social approach. Though I still thoroughly oppose Capitalism, I can't help but find some aspects of Socialism and Communism to be primitivistic and laissez-faire in nature - exactly what is wrong with Capitalist philosophy of the market jungle.
With that said, I'll get straight to the point. Many hereditary illnesses including allergies, mental and physical retardations could be eliminated from the gene pool through simple sterilization of the people in question. I hate to bring up Darwin but as a species, are we not consciously delaying the inevitable by preserving that subgroup of our species that cannot adapt and survive semi-independently?
People with allergies cannot adapt to their environment, for instance. The mentally retarded cannot learn to take care of themselves, much less their comrades - an important part of anyone's life as man is a pack animal. It is only natural for nature to take its course and kill them off, or rather - it is natural for them to die of the inability to sustain their own persons!
Yet instead, we choose to let them poison our gene pool and delay the evolution of the human race.
If evolution for the sake of self-betterment is not compelling enough of a reason for their sterilization, what good do the mentally handicapped do for society? What good do those born physically disabled do? They only siphon resources which could be better allotted. Resources such as food, clothing, various forms of labor including trained personnel and medical professionals sometimes required specifically to take care of them.
What of the family members whose lives too are absorbed by these individuals? What of the school children who can't bring all sorts of food in their lunches because some little stink with a nut allergy is going to suffocate from the smell of Reese's?
Peanut allergies among children have been steadily climbing...
From this, I can only conclude that the sterilization of individuals with debilitating hereditary disorders are a viable solution to said problems and should be embraced as a perfectly humane, rational solution, at that. I am not calling for a genocide. However, is there really a point to wasting our strength to maintain our imperfection?
It feels as though what we're doing is equivalent to picking at a scab, not allowing it to simply heal.
I'd also like to mention that my opinion is the same on so-called endangered species. If they couldn't make it, let them die, as long as it doesn't disrupt the ecosystem. We too are part of the food chain and I do not find that we are responsible for the survival of the animals we might have hunted or might be hunting to extinction or animals (such as polar bears) who are now suffering due to climate change. We should not be guilted into trying to preserve them either, though I am not saying that we should ignore such things as climate change.
Finally, I want to say that the above definitely contradicts what I said earlier about the primitivism of Capitalism because one might argue that natural selection applies to the market. That is true, it does. However, we cannot alter our genetic makeup. We cannot choose to be physically more or less able than others. However, in economics, being a social construct of our own conception, we can choose to work together rather than to compete. I mentioned earlier that humans work in groups and in that, Capitalism is inhuman. It pits man against man.
P.S. These are amateur thoughts which are not actually inspired by any of Darwin's writings nor are any parts concerning socialism and capitalism inspired by any left-wing thinkers in particular. These are all my ponderings and I like to think that I didn't mis attribute anything to anyone because I tried not to attribute anything to anyone at all.
